Our first arctic arrival is the always beautiful Snow Bunting. This was one of 8 birds feeding on the huge algae mat along the beach. The mat has endless vegetation and bugs that the birds just love. I just laid down and let the birds walk right in front of my camera. The low profile always makes a difference.

What a wonderful picture of the Snow Bunting! So sharp and clear considering it is partially obscured.
