Red Tail Hawk obstructed deep in the grass by the side of the road.

I saw this bird along the side of the road so passed it, stopped and got the camera out. Not sure what it was looking for but it “wandered” a bit and did not flush until a company truck came by. This is the first time I have seen a buteo on the ground w/o a prey in sight.
