We were picking up groceries in Holland and received a Discord there was a Ross’s Gull in either Indiana or Illinois. By the time we got home, specific information was posted. We quickly took care of the refrigerated groceries and headed south. When we arrived at Rainbow Beach, it was easy to see where the bird was being seen. It was a lifer and we got great looks.

I would have guessed Bonaparte’s Gull, but I’ve already said I’m bad a gull ID. When you say it was easy to see where the bird was being seen, I assume there were other birders there on it.
