Black-crowned Night-Heron

Getting some exercise.

VanBraght Park is located on the east end of Lake Macatawa between the lake and Window on the Waterfront. In years past, on the other side of the lake was great habitat for the Black-crowned Night Heron to take a rest during its migration south. Unfortunately, that habitat has aged and no longer looks appealing. This is a first year bird identified by its brownish breast. Adults are grayish.
