We see many Long-tailed Ducks in the winter in Holland Channel and thousands in flight further out in Lake Michigan. These ducks breed much further north and spend their winter in western Lake Michigan.

The Long-tailed Duck is one of my favorites! I miss seeing them as often as when I was in Holland, MI. Thanks for bringing back good memories.
