Dam good place to see pelicans

This is not a very good picture as it was taken with a crappy camera on a crappy day, but I wanted to illustrate a great place to see and photograph pelicans. The Sinnissippi Dam spans the Rock River between Rock Falls and Sterling, Illinois. There is a walkway above the dam and you can get really close to the pelicans. The first time I saw pelicans here was several years ago on a bicycle tour. At that time, the pelicans had arranged themselves in a circle to trap fish.
