Preening and soaking up the sun.

This mallard was preening after a bath in the creek. Although this is a “partial” reflection, I included it because it picks up the beautiful blue on the wing and the reflection of the beak shows the comb-like projections along the edge of the beak called lamellae, which means “thin plate” in Latin.
