Many-banded Aracari

We saw several Many-banded Aracari from the Metal Tower at Sacha Lodge. Their remarkable colors and behaviors quickly made them one of my favorites!

This group was dipping into the center of a hollow tree, but I was uncertain if they were eating bark, drinking water, or raiding a nest.
