I spotted this beautiful male working some flowers and waited patiently for him to hit the light just right to show off his stunning purple gorget. I was pinched in a corner and couldn’t move enough to get the shot I wanted and the bird never really cooperated. So I’m asking the viewer to use their imagination and envision the color of the purple flower as the birds flaming gorget. Because it is the exact same color of the gorget I think it works.
