What does a bronzed cowbird have to do with Halloween?

2. Blood-red demon eye
3. Sneaks into homes (nests) and murders children
4. Replaces said children with its own spawn
Sounds like a bird that belongs on the roster of Halloween monsters to me.
(in all seriousness though, cowbirds are fascinating birds that don’t deserve their infamous reputation.)
