Plumbeous Rail

On our last day in Argentina, we stopped at a canal along Ruta 11 while driving from San Clemente to Buenos Aires. Many birds were in this area, including several we had not yet seen, like this colorful Plumbeous Rail. The rail was hidden close to us in the rushes, then flew across the canal and was plainly visible for a few minutes before disappearing into the rushes again.
