There were several warblers and other small birds in the trees around us as we were walking a woodland trail – I was snapping photos whenever the subjects presented themselves. This bird was identified on sight as a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, but only after we returned home and I downloaded the photos, were we able to see the wisp of the ruby crown on this bird!
