We arrived at Reserva Amagusa in Ecuador in the rain and fog on 7/16/17. This Orange-bellied Euphonia was eating one of the bananas.
While watching the birds come and go and hoping to get some good photos, a small portion of the plastic roof gave way and down came the pooled water onto a couple of the trip recipients.
While watching the birds there was movement in the habitat below the feeders. Soon a seldom seen Tayra appeared on the feeder. We got good looks at it as it partook of the fruit. This mammal is an omnivorous animal from the weasel family.
