The indian roller is bulky and broad winged bird with a large head and short neck and legs. The breeding is from march to june, during courtship mates perform aerial display. Nest is an existing hole in a tree, clutch consists of 5 eggs. The incubation period is 30 days.The hindi name for indian roller is neelkanth pakshi.
