Kalij pheasant is a bird found in the himalayas, males have a dark greyish blue color, females are brownish on 21 october 2021 the Government of India declared kalij pheasant as a bird of the union territory of jammu and kashmir . It is known as wan kokud or ban kokur in kashmiri language.
