Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl

Ferruginous Pygmy-owl

Viewed 11 Times

I’ve been post processing a group of photos from Costa Rica to post here at GBPs. A few days ago I saw the e-mail describing the process JamesD used to remove branches from his Northern Cardinal photo, which got me to thinking.

This owl was perched in a tree in the courtyard at the Hotel Bougainvillea in San Jose. It didn’t move to a more visible perch while I was watching, and I could not achieve any better vantage. So at the time I settled for a photo with a branch directly in front of the bird (see my prior post).

Then I read about JamesD’s process and thought about the tools I have available. This photo is the result of applying the Remove Tool in Topaz Photo AI. Ta-da!
