I’ve been post processing a group of photos from Costa Rica to post here at GBPs. A few days ago I saw the e-mail describing the process JamesD used to remove branches from his Northern Cardinal photo, which got me to thinking.
This Bare-throated Tiger-heron was perched in a tree at the Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. It didn’t move to a more visible perch while I was watching, and I could not achieve any better vantage. So at the time I settled for the photo I posted just before this one.
Then I read about JamesD’s process and thought about the tools I have available. This photo was edited using Remove Object tool in Topaz Photo AI. I’m not certain if I actually like the result since the feather pattern that replaced the branch looks unnatural to me.
Great look at the cool bird though.
Agreed – thanks!
