In March we had a Pileated Woodpecker visiting the preserve near our home and I posted photos I took of the bird in the morning, which placed the sun behind the bird. The bird returned to the same tree for another photo opportunity in the evening with the sun to the the west, which was behind me and the bird. The lighting difference was remarkable and the west lighting made the red feathers spectacular!
