We went birding at the Crew Bird Rookery Swamp Trail, which is about 15 mile east of Naples. The ponds were drying up, due to the lack of rain for months. The low water concentrated the fish, the alligators, the snakes and the birds.
We saw many birds feeding, including this Little Blue Heron. Of course, the juvenile White Ibis is hoping to snatch the fish from the Heron for an easy meal.
