As usual, falling behind on processing my images. These are a few from Vietnam, a trip we took last December. A Black-naped Monarch. As I have stated before, not only different birds, but different family names. A real challenge to ID birds from images taken 6 months ago.
One thing these images have in common-they were all taken in very dark conditions. Really dark in the Vietnamese rain forest. These were all taken with really slow shutter speeds (usually 1/50 or slower) and high ISOs (3200+).

Wonderful image of a beautiful bird!
I make ID notes on my phone of birds I photograph each day while on a trip. This helps me immensely after the trip when processing the photos.
I try to do the same. What made sense to me in the field does not always make sense 6 months later. I usually am that far behind in my processing.
Tremendous photo! What a beautiful looking bird!
Thank you. Kind words. It is a great bird.
