As usual, falling behind on processing my images. These are a few from Vietnam, a trip we took last December. A Bar-bellied Pitta. As I have stated before, not only different birds, but different family names. A real challenge to ID birds from images taken 6 months ago. These ground birds share a part of their name with Antpittas, one of our favorite bird families seen in South America.
One thing these images have in common-they were all taken in very dark conditions. Really dark in the Vietnamese rain forest. These were all taken with really slow shutter speeds (usually 1/50 or slower) and high ISOs (3200+).

What extraordinary looking bird!
This family, Pitta, was high on my list of targets. We whiffed on most of them, but this one did cooperate.
