Purple Martin
Although downtown Griggsville is now a bust for seeing purple martins, there are other places in town where you can see them thanks to the efforts of concerned local residents and I think also out of state purple martin groups. I went to the city park and found that there was a dealer of the gourd-type martin houses with dozens of houses on its property which is adjacent to the park. In addition, many martins were also roosting on the power line along the road between the park and the bird house dealer.
