Greater Sand-Plover

Grey Plover

This large and stout plover has short bill and legs, the sides of the neck and vent are white. The upper part has black feathers with broad white tips. The nest is on ground four eggs are laid in early june. Incubation period is 26 days, the chicks fledge after 45 days.
