bird wings have internal frame work of hollow bones anchored to the body at the shoulder often the biggest joint in the skeleton. A part from the shoulder wings have two other main joints one is equivalent to the human elbow, while one nearer to the wing is equivalent to the wrist, these joints allow the wings to open and close and also to swivel in crucial feature for flight. The muscles that power the wings are mainly in the chest then in the wing . If the muscles that power the wings is weak the bird cannot fly. It also effects the vocal.
