This bird will built a nest very close to human habitation. This bulbul has a solid crown and black face and throat giving it a hooded appearance, the upper parts and the breast are grey brown and edged with white giving it a solid look. It has a plain lower belly and red vent. It feeds on invertibrates and reptiles.
