From a bird photography point of view, I am fortunate to live in San Diego County. There have been 515 species of birds recorded in the county, making it the most diverse “bird county” in the US. We also have, what must be, the most photographed individual birds of two species. Peregrine Falcons nesting on the cliffs of Torrey Pines and these two Wood Ducks at Santee Lakes. These two ducks spend a great deal of time in this knot hole that is along the primary sidewalk. 100’s of people, dogs and cameras pass within 20′ of this spot every day and many of them stop to take a shot.
