Continuing with North Dakota images, this image is of a Bobolink. Bobolinks are iconic grassland birds that, although still common, have been declining in numbers drastically. This is primarily because of habitat loss; the grasslands are going away. This image is of a male. They will sing and posture on stems of grass/shrubs, but also on barbed wire fences. These were shot with a Canon R5ii and a 600 mmm + 1.4 extender lens. Cropped significantly. Little done otherwise.
