Clay-colored Sparrow

My husband and I were walking back to the road after checking out some water fowl. As we walked, I kept hearing a soft buzz, buzz, buzz noise and couldn’t put my finger on what I was hearing. Out came the Merlin app, which identified the call as a Clay-colored Sparrow. Now I remember. After scanning the tall grasses and bushes, I finally spotted one that was calling.
