Vultures are large birds of prey known for being scavengers , feeding on dead animals. There are two types of vultures. Old world vultures found in Europe, Asia And Africa. New world vultures found in America. Vultures are simply birds evolved to fill an important niche far from being evil, they contribute to the environment by cleaning up dead animals and preventing the spread of disease. Vultures donot suffer from food poison because they have very acidic stomach acids with ph of almost zero. To keep cool Vultures urinate on their legs and feet. This also kills bacteria or parasites and helps to keep the bird healthy.
When threatened vultures defend themselves by vomiting very potent stomach acids. This not only acts as a deterrent with predators but also lightens the load so they can escape easily into flight.
