Sparrows again. This is a Grasshopper Sparrow. A little more colorful, these are definitely “grassland” birds in North Dakota. In much of this land (Potholes area in Central ND), the tallest plant is 3′ tall. These birds live their entire life in the grass which makes them a challenge to photograph at times. Processed in PS with a few stray strands of grass cloned out. Cropped about 50%.

Thanks. One of the advantages that modern cameras give us is the ability to relatively easily capture BIF shots. Sometimes gives an entirely different “look” for the bird.
