Swainson’s Hawk on an early morning. I have found these hawks to be mighty skittish in my area – they fly off if you are in a 50 yard radius.
I was lucky to find this one perched on the post and best was that it was gracious enough to give me about 5 minutes of its time as it went thru its morning yoga postures 🙂

I like the pose on the Swainson’s hawk. The sun catches the head better at that angle. Good choice on using a square frame for the pic.
