We were standing by the NOAA Station at Holland State Park on December 31, 2017 to see what might be passing by. We had been out there for a while and had scanned both break walls. On one of my passes, I happened to catch a glimpse of this female/juvenile Snowy Owl. Was it always out there in view? Did it fly in unobserved? Did it move from an obscure place to where it is here? Only it knows.
