On July 14, 2025, we were on a short dock at Bruce’s Bayou 132nd Street in Grand Haven. Not far from the dock was a Green Heron looking for breakfast and two Killdeer walking up and down a small patch of shore. Soon this female Red-winged Blackbird appeared. When I looked at her with my binoculars, I noticed she had food in her mouth. I quickly switched the binoculars for my camera and got a few photos.
