Shikra is a small bird of prey, it is also known as a banded goshawk. The name shikra origins from an urdu word shikaaree which means hunter., The male female difference is adult males have red irish blue and grey upper parts and fine brownish orange barring on thier under parts, females have yellow irish and brownish grey upper parts.
