There is a boardwalk along an inlet in West Olive along an inlet called Pigeon Lake. During the summer there are many Barn Swallows flying over the water and resting on boats moored there and boat stations. Here are two recently fledged birds waiting for an adult to appear with food. Look closely. The bird on the right has a toe of the left bird in its bill.
