On a recent morning a Cooper’s Hawk swooped through our yard scattering all the birds who were collected at our feeders. The hawk was not successful bringing down any prey and ended up perched in a pine behind our home. After several minutes of preening, it flew across our yard and landed on the ground in our neighbor’s yard which provided a wonderful opportunity to see its pantaloons!
