There is an ornithological observatory in Chichicaxtle that is staffed to conduct daily bird counts during the annual fall migration. When we visited on October 6, they had already counted more 2.4 million migrating birds! I focused on their hummingbird feeder and a Buff-bellied Hummingbird that visited several times.
