Royal, Sandwich and Common Terns

It was interesting to see this mixed flock of terns hanging out on the beach together, which allowed for a handy side-by-side comparison. The Royal is the largest with the orange bill, the Sandwich is medium sized with a yellow-tipped black bill, and the Common is the smallest with the solid black bill.
