Blue Jay with his mouth full of acorns
The Jays at my feeder can hold a lot in their mouth. They appear to swallow one hole peanut in the shell then put another one in their mouth and then fly off. I wonder if tho one they swallow is brought back out of its mouth for storage in its nest.
