Barred Owl

I usually try to get out the first of the year to get my first year bird photo. This year I didn’t get out until almost a week into the year, but this Barred Owl was worth the wait. While taking a quiet walk at the Arboretum, a squirrel was calling out a warning “cry”, a few seconds later this Barred Owl flew onto this branch. A perfect view through the trees.
