I posted a short time ago a set of images that demonstrated what a difference a few minutes can make in the appearance of an image. Yes, it is amazing the difference light can make. This image of a White-faced Ibis was taken in San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Reserve a few minutes after sunrise. The sun was just barely over the horizon. Often, in this plumage, a WFI looks almost black. Not here. The soft, yellow cast sunlight absolutely lit this bird up. Little processing done; a small crop from L and top, BG brought down slightly.
