Black Vulture Roosting

On New Years Day 2026 we visited the Orlando Wetlands and observed Roseate Spoonbills roosting together with 200-300 Black Vultures. This bird was roosting on a bare branch with another Black Vulture and 5 Roseate Spoonbills – see my prior post. The setting sun provided a soft light that allowed me to capture details on this majestic bird that are normally not visible in brighter light.
