One of my favorite birds

One more from San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Reserve. These are among my favorite subjects to photograph there, American Avocets. This shot was actually taken in 2025, but has been sitting in my archives. Hopefully this spring will bring more. Taken off a flattened tripod sitting in the water. Camera and lens (600 mm + 1.4 TC) sitting about 12″ above water. I am using the back screen to compose and focus, triggering shutter with a wired remote.
