Mourning Dove

What I should have done

Viewed 12 Times

It’s easy to sit here and contemplate taking photos in a given situation-I would have these settings, I would compose it a certain way, I would process it in this manner. It is a little more difficult when you are sitting there and the bird comes in to your vision. It is easy to forget what you “should” do. This is an example. If I had either flipped my camera over into portrait/vertical mode or if I had brought my POV down, I might have captured a better shot. It would have showed the dove landing and the reflection of the same. In this shot I barely caught the reflection. This image had a small amount of canvas added to the bottom of the image. This was taken at Desert Photo Retreat.
