Brahminy Kite
It is Known as black sea eagle in Australia . known as elang bondol in Indonesia, it is the official mascot of Jakarta. In Hinduism it is considered as the contemporary representation of garuda. They breed between December and April. The clutch consists of two eggs. The incubation period is 35 days. Chicks fledge after 56 days. The nest is made of sticks and twigs often in mangroves or tall trees.
