It is also Known as the black shouldered kite and has owl type behavior with large wing span. The male female difference is the male has dark red eyes female has yellow eyes. The clutch consists of 5 eggs incubation is done by female it takes 30 days chicks are born with white they fledge after 5 weeks. The eggs are creamy white with heavy red or chocolate brown spots. The breeding season is in febreuary march or after monsoon with twig nest lined with soft material in trees or palms.

Thanks for the information about the male/female ID and the clutch. Tiny suggestion – a bit larger crop so the entire tail is visible. No need to cut off that little bit.
