Arizona Woodpecker

While in Arizona, we drove to Madera Canyon, which is about 30 miles south of Tucson, and went to the Santa Rita Lodge. The owner of the Lodge has maintained more than a dozen bird feeders for 20 years – to attract birdwatchers to his lodge. Such fun! I wanted especially to see the Acorn Woodpeckers but also saw this female Arizona Woodpecker.
