Red-naped Sapsucker

While in Arizona, we drove to Madera Canyon, which is about 30 miles south of Tucson. The canyon is developed with several parking areas, a campground, a picnic area and trails. We saw repeat birds along a trail near the picnic area, and also spotted this lovely Red-naped Sapsucker. It was very cooperative and allowed us to watch it for more than 10 minutes.
