It is called snake bird or long neck fish eating water bird why it is called snake bird because only their head and neck are visible above water while swimming, they occupy tropical lakes, rivers, marshes and mangroves. They use very special hunting method they spear the fish underwater, surface and throw them in to the air to swallow them head first. Incubation period is 30 days both share duties clutch is of 6 eggs, they the eggs with their feet. The nest is a platform of sticks. The male is glossy black while female is in light color with cream white front. Males have greyish pink legs while females have yellowish pink.
