Grey Head Lapwing

It is a migratory shore bird known for its distinctive grey head, neck and breast contrasting with bold white belly and dark breast band. Specialised features include a bright yellow black tipped bill, they breed in north east india, china and Japan.It is mainly found in wetlands, rice fields, water logged areas.The clutch consists of four eggs in a simple ground scrape often in rice fields breeding accurs from march to July with incubation lasting for 29 days.
